Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, across from the historic
Blanco County Courthouse in Johnson City, Kirchman Gallery is a perfect venue for
contemporary fine art. Besides the large Main Gallery and the Studio Space, a lush Sculpture
Garden (complete with a creek and graceful old pecan and oak trees)
showcases outdoor sculpture. Exhibitions completely change every four or
six weeks, so viewers will always see something different when they
visit. Click here to join the email list and receive announcements and invitations sent directly to your email.
Susan Kirchman,
who owns the gallery together with her husband Warren Vilmaire, established a career of more than 25 years as an
exhibiting artist and a professor of fine-art. She was born and raised in California,
has exhibited her art works extensively, and has taught fine arts in
California, Wisconsin, Iowa, Texas, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Germany. Warren, a native Hawaiian and former aircraft engineer, is the talent behind the design and execution of all of the gallery building and expansion projects. He currently has Kirchman Gallery 2 underway on Main Street in Johnson City. See the Gallery blog for recent updates.
The gallery curatorial committee is presently soliciting proposals for exhibitions, especially in the areas of Fine Art Glass and out door Sculpture. For exhibition consideration please submit 20
images and an artist’s statement on CD or DVD to the gallery.
